Tennis Match Fixing
Novak Djokovic has received allegations towards Match Fixing in the Paris Open back in 2007.
The world Tennis number 1, Novak Djokovic, then world number 3, has denied absurd allegations to match fixing his game against a player 36 ranks below him at the time. He has also denied that he ‘wanted to lose’ against Fabrice Santoro.
He said, ‘You can pick out any match that you like lost by a top player and create a story out of it, I think its not supported by any proof, any evidence, any facts. It’s just speculation, so I don’t think there is a story about it.’
Meanwhile, a former senior police officer has claimed tennis authorities failed to act on “extremely damaging evidence” he provided about a player linked to Sicilian gamblers thought to be fixing matches at Wimbledon.
A lot of people would be shocked with what he has been acused of, so did he match fix? You decide.
