Anonymous Author Nominated for Man Booker Award

An anonymous author has been put on the long-list for an International Man Booker. ‘Elena Ferrante is nominated for her book: ‘The Story of the Lost Child’, the last of her series ‘Neapolitan’.


“Books, once they are written, have no need of their authors.”


Her work has sold two million copies worldwide, and her work has been published in 39 different countries. She has gained high popularity, but all that is known about her is that she was born in Naples.


The long-list was described as “the finest fiction in translation”.
