Gold for Team GB

British sailors, Giles Scott (Finn), Alison Young (Laser Radial) and Luke Patience and Chris Grube (420) bring home three gold medals. Scott began the day with an astonishing and nearly unstoppable 19-point lead. Scott showed no sign of letting off and claimed his gold medal in his first world cup race since the Olympics.

Alison Young had an advantage of 5 points and a second place in the medal race was enough to assure her victory and another medal for GB.
Like the rest of the team, Patience and Grube completely dominated the regatta with an impressive 17-point lead before entering Sunday’s races.
However, European champion Nick Thompson received a bronze medal for his efforts after German rival Phillip Buhl overtook him.
